  • Who runs O'so Sucia Events?
Dangilo Bonilla and Nelson Castillo. You can contact us from the Contact form on the Home Page.
  • Are O'so Sucia Events only for Latino and bearish men?
First off: ALL ARE WELCOME! We embrace all members of the community, no matter how you identify or present yourself. We are highlighting bear, Latinx and POC talent in the LGBTQ+ community, but would never exclude anyone from joining one of our events. If you are comfortable around us, we'd love to have you. If you're not sure if your straight, white, cis gal pal will enjoy our event, we say, "Invite her anyway!" Do you identify as anything other than a Latin bear? Then come on in and see who you might meet! If you aren't sure, come on by and find one of us or our team near the door and we'll help you out.
  • I'm 19 years old; can I come to one of your events?
Unfortunately, no. Our events are currently held at bars that require all persons entering to be over 21 years of age and have a valid government issued ID. Come back and see us when you turn 21.
  • Are there fees to buy a ticket on-line?
Yes, our ticket management system charges a small percentage fee for each ticket. The fee was shown next to the ticket price so you would know exactly how much it was. However, beginning in July, 2024 all ticket fees are included in the price of the ticket. The state of California passed a law saying that all fees and surcharges must be included in the price of the items that are for sale. (This is for all industries like plane tickets, cruises, goods, services, restaurants, and pretty much any business you can think of.) So to comply with the law, you will no longer see what portion of your ticket is our charge vs. the fee paid to our ticket management system. See the next FAQ for detail of how those fees are calculated. (NOTE: the new law states that the only additional fee you can be charged outside of the item price are government imposed fees or taxes.)
  • Why are you selling tickets on Wix and why don't you sell your tickets on Eventbrite?
We chose to sell our tickets on Wix because it provides us with an all-in-one platform to manage our website, ticket sales, and event details. Wix also offers a user-friendly interface for our customers to purchase tickets seamlessly. While Eventbrite is a popular ticketing platform, we found that it charges some of the highest fees in the industry. (Well, maybe Ticketmaster beats them on that.) Most ticketing services charge a % of the ticket price plus a small $ amount per transaction. Plus the credit card company charges a fee on top of that. If we used Eventbrite and the ticket price was $15 they could charge you an additional $2.83. Wix is only charging $0.38 for that $15 ticket. And we decided to pay the credit card transaction fees (about $0.75 per ticket) so you don't have to! It's all about saving you money a dollar at a time! Rest assured that all ticket sales made through our Wix platform are secure and protected. If you have any questions or concerns about purchasing tickets through our website, please don't hesitate to contact us. NOTE: After July 5, 2024 the State of California has enacted a law that all service and transaction fees must be included in the ticket price. See the previous FAQ for more info.)
  • Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Yes, in most instances tickets can be purchased at the door. Our events do have a maximum capacity due to local fire codes. A ticket does not guarantee entry if the venue is at capacity. However, a pre-purchased ticket will have priority to enter compared to those buying tickets at the door. All online and in-person tickets are non-refundable but you are welcome to give your tickets to a friend or even resell them.
  • I want to gogo dance at an event. How do I sign up?
We are always looking for gogo dancers that match our vibe. If you are a seasoned dancer or are brand new to the box, just hit us up on our Contact Us form at the bottom of the Home Page.
